Allergy Testing

The first step in treating allergies is to properly assess what specific allergies you or your child may be suffering from. Allergy tests can be performed in a number of different ways such as:

• Immunotherapy or desensitization involves introducing extracts of allergens (pollens, dust, molds, etc.) into the patient’s body to induce an immunologic response. This leads to the eventual reduction or elimination of the allergic reaction.
