Welcome to the website of The Allergy & Asthma Center. Established in 1986, our practice serves the metro Atlanta area with state-of-the-art allergy and asthma care at three convenient locations: Atlanta, Lawrenceville, and Conyers. We care for the allergy and asthma patient of all ages, from infancy to adulthood. Our philosophy is foremost patient-centered, and we strive to make the individual an integral part of the healing process.
During the course of your or your child’s evaluation, board-certified allergists will handle every aspect of your care. Our physicians are board-certified in allergy, asthma, and immunology, and have decades of experience treating the most challenging allergic medical conditions including allergic rhinitis, asthma, insect allergy, food allergy, sinusitis, eczema, hives, and other allergic diseases.
Jon E. Stahlman, M.D.
Dr. Jon E. Stahlman, an Atlanta native, received his B.S. and M.D. degrees at Emory University. He subsequently completed his Pediatric Residency at Children’s Hospital in Boston and his Fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Harvard University’s Children’s Hospital ⁄ Brigham and Women’s Hospital. After his training, Dr. Stahlman completed two years of clinical research at Boston Children’s Hospital and was part of the faculty at Harvard Medical School where he taught medical students and Allergy & Immunology Fellows. His research interests include new therapies for asthma and allergic rhinitis as well as the use of computerized monitoring of lung function.
Dr. Stahlman is currently the Section Chief of Allergy and Immunology at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Scottish Rite Campus and has served as the president of the Georgia Allergy Society. He has been named by Castle Connolly as well as Atlanta Magazine one of Atlanta’s Top Doctors.
Dr. Stahlman is Board Certified and recertified in Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He also became a Certified Clinical Research Investigator in 2003.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Stahlman’s interests outside the office are centered around his wife and three daughters. He is actively involved in sports and physical fitness. He has coached soccer for many years and his hobbies include running, cycling, and triathlon. A clinician, author, lecturer, clinical investigator, and family man, Dr. Stahlman brings to his practice and the community much talent and experience for the benefit of all his patients.
Deidre D. Crocker, M.D.
Dr. Deidre D. Crocker has made Georgia her home after graduating from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine and completing residency training and board certification in Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Children’s Hospital. Dr. Crocker’s personal battle with asthma and food allergies along with her research at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) led her to pursue a specialization in Allergy and Immunology through fellowship training at the Medical College of Georgia. Her research has been published and has led to the creation of new programs to help prevent asthma fatalities in Georgia.Dr. Crocker is Board Certified in Allergy and Immunology and Pediatrics. She is a member of The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, The American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Crocker enjoys traveling, hiking and Taekwondo.

Poneh Davoodi, M.D.
Dr. Poneh Davoodi is an Atlanta native who graduated with honors from The Georgia Institute of Technology as well as The Medical College of Georgia. She went on to complete her Pediatric Internship and Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina where she won numerous teaching awards. Dr. Davoodi completed her specialty training in Allergy & Immunology at Georgia Regents University where she served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Davoodi is board-certified in Allergy & Immunology and Pediatrics. Her research interests in asthma and food allergy have taken her inside our state’s school system and given insight into how to better take care of allergic patients.
Dr. Davoodi’s volunteer interests include The GRU Homeless Clinic and The Reach Out And Read Program. Dr. Davoodi enjoys The Atlanta Falcons, being outdoors, music, dance, and spending time with her growing family.
Herchelle H. Cohen, A.P.R.N.
Herchelle H. Cohen, A.P.R.N. is a Certified Nurse Practitioner and a Georgia native. She completed her undergraduate and clinical training at Emory University, graduated Magna Cum Laude, and was selected into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Herchelle has a passion for allergy and asthma patients and a wealth of experience in the field. She comes to us from Savannah Allergy Associates, where she has been treating allergy and asthma patients for over 7 years. She is currently a member of The Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Society of Georgia.
She joined our practice in July 2016 and continues to make wonderful contributions keeping our high-risk asthma patients healthy. Outside the office, Herchelle enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children or rooting on the U.G.A. Bulldogs.
